Massachusetts Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses
                Nursing Student Scholarship Criteria

The Massachusetts Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses is pleased to be able to offer a scholarship to a nursing student
to assist them in achieving their nursing career.

Eligibility:   
Nursing students who are currently enrolled in an accredited program in the State of Massachusetts.

Guidelines:  
Submissions must be typed.  No hand written documents will be accepted.

Requirements to submit:
Completed Application:                    
Copy of high school transcript or copy of current nursing school transcript must be submitted with the application.   
Two letters of recommendation:  
      Letters may be original or photocopies,
      Typed, dated, and signed by the author.              
      Author must indicate relationship to student
Candidates will submit a short essay of 350 words or less describing their reason for choosing nursing as a career.

Award:         
$500.00 toward tuition payable to the applicant
One year student membership in ASPAN
One year complimentary issue of MASPAN Newsletter Mayflower

Selection Process:   
Selection will be made by the MASPAN Board of Directors based upon evaluation of information submitted.  

Requirements of Awardees:   
Candidate selected for scholarship awards must submit a brief article to the MASPAN Newsletter Mayflower within 60
days after receiving the award.
