MASPAN Excellence in Clinical Practice Award Criteria

Award Criteria

A registered nurse currently working in the Perianesthesia setting.
Work experience in the perianesthesia setting for the last 3 years.
A current member of ASPAN and MASPAN
CPAN and/or CAPA certification
A practitioner who exemplifies a caring, compassionate approach with patients and families.
Exemplifies excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
A recognized role model who has improved professional practice within the perianesthesia setting.

Submission Criteria

A nominating letter describing the qualifications of the individual and addressing the criteria listed.  
This must be signed by at least 3 individuals in support of the nomination.
A completed application form. (Available on the MASPAN website ~ www.maspan.org)
Submissions must be received by August 1,  2006
Announcement of recipient will take place at MASPAN’s Fall Conference

Recognition of expertise and Publication of nomination letter in the MASPAN Newsletter
Mayflower and on the MASPAN Website
Free Conference Registration to a future MASPAN Seminar as chosen by the recipient
